Mr. Ray Montgomery, age 77, of Story, AR, passed away September 6, 2016 at the CHI St. Vincent Hospital in Hot Springs. He was born March 3, 1939 to the late Elmer Montgomery and Evey Williams. He is preceded in death by his Parents, and one grandson Danny Montgomery.

Survivors include: Wife: Kay Montgomery of Story, AR Sons; Kenneth, Billy and David Montgomery, Daughters; Lavaughn Daniel and Amanda Passmore, Brothers; Joe and Jerry Montgomery. Sisters; Wanda Byers and Retta Montgomery, seven Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren.

Ray loved fishing, hunting, and hearing the word of God preached. He was member of the Bethel Assembly of God in Mt. Ida

A visitation will be held, September 8, 2016 10 a.m. at Thornton Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Ida. Graveside Service will be held September 8, at 11 a.m. at the Reed Cemetery, Story, Ar. Pallbearers: Kenneth Montgomery, Billy Montgomery, Corey Montgomery, Darrel Montgomery, Chris Bodi and Truman Parker. Honorary Pallbearers: Don Stokley, Joe Montgomery and Jerry Montgomery.  Arrangements were made under the direction of Thornton Funeral Home of Mount Ida, AR.
